The Turtlegate Barrier from Ibex Supplies is a simple but very effective extendable temporary barrier. Each barrier is light, portable and offers a robust solution for controlling the flow of foot traffic.

Built in high strength aluminium, these versatile safety barriers are designed for indoor and outdoor use. Each Turtlegate barrier comes with two interconnecting locks and two wheel locks. Both provide secure fastening and the ability to chain multiple barriers to cover longer stretches.

The Turtlegate Barrier is constructed from high-quality aluminium alloy and is finished in high visibility red and yellow finishes. Each barrier includes rugged wheels for easy transport and stable support while in place.

Barriers measure 430mm x 1300mm or 1800mm x 600mm when contracted. This extends to 2100mm when extended. The 1300mm version weighs 26.3kg while the 1800mm version weighs 34.9kg. This balances the requirement for easy installation with the ruggedness to provide an effective barrier in most situations.

Benefits of the Turtlegate Barrier

Turtlegate Barriers are designed to be flexible and versatile while delivering effective crowd control. They can also be used for temporary traffic direction, blocking off areas and many other uses.

The design of the Turtlegate Barrier is its strength. It is small and easy to manoeuvre when contracted and solid when locked into place. The barrier can be moved and installed quickly and easily with no special equipment required.

Barriers can be locked together to form a longer barrier while wheel locks ensure minimal movement while in use.

The high visibility finish provides safety as well as weather resistance so the Turtlegate Barrier can be used indoors or outdoors. This finish ensures barriers handle all environmental conditions with no rusting or degradation and will continue looking good for many years to come.

Common uses of the Turtlegate Barrier

You will often see Turtlegate Barriers in use in public areas to redirect pedestrian traffic around street works, maintenance or other hazards. They are highly visible and provide an effective crowd control barrier in any given situation.

You can also see these barriers at events to form queues, restrict access to certain areas and providing a visible and easy to understand pathway through a given area.

Thanks to their portability, you can also spot Turtlegate Barriers in rural areas, hard to reach areas and situations where heavier or more permanent barriers cannot reach. The rugged construction means they can survive the elements and can perform effectively on uneven surfaces.

The design of the Turtlegate Barrier is key to its success. The stable base, inherent flexibility, ease of use and portability means you will see them everywhere, performing crowd control in all kinds of environments.
